I went with a group of co-workers on a recent Friday evening. Arrived about 5:30 or so. Well before peak time, our server already seemed overwhelmed. Service was VERY slow. One member of my party ordered the spinach dip and was in the process of cancelling her order by the time it came out 20-30 minutes later. It took three attempts for me to place a single beer order with our server. That's all a shame because the food, once it came out, was actually quite good. I had the Griswold, which is a bratwurst on a soft pretzel bun with carmelized onions. It was really great. The rest of my party also seemed to enjoy their orders as well, albeit belatedly. One thing that was a little confusing was the beer menu. Selection is generally good. However, there is a list of "on deck" brews. These are beers that are "coming soon." Really? Entice me to come back with faster, less frenzied service. That will work better.

Yum!!! I am so glad to have a place like this so close to home! Excited to make many more trips. Among our group we ordered the meatballs, the salmon and the rattlesnake pasta. Each person loved their food and was stuffed! And the beer!! A great draft list full of beers that I don't usually see everywhere. I can't wait to go back and try many more. Our waitress was awesome. Answered any and all questions and brought the food out timely. Seems like they've worked out the kinks that others have complained about.

Party of 20 and we would be 15-20mins without a waitress. Awful. A beer took15 mins+. Empty tables abound. Edit: they gave us 20% off the bill

Had a great time! The crispy chicken sliders with tater tots were very tasty! They also have a great selection of beers! I highly recommend coming here.

Just ordered a beer and a Chili. Chili was very watery (seasoned okay though) and the beer glass smelled like moldy rags. They get an extra star for decent service from Danielle who recognized that I didn't like my food, and accounting for growing pains from a newly open opened location. I will probably take a pass on this place unless I end up going with friends. Decor was decent and there were a lot of TVs for game nights, but there were some obstructed views at the table we were at. I liked that they announced upcoming beer taps on the beer menu. I hope they improve over time!

Been here a handful of times. I appreciate the large rotating selection of beer. Food on the menu so far has all been solid--can't go wrong with anything. Peanut butter Sriracha bacon burger was great. Fish tacos, burgers, chicken sandwiches are also quite good. I'd like to try the desserts but no one has let me have one yet :). Service was good and staff was friendly to us.

Dined at craft brew city for the first time with my family for dinner and i got to say, it was wonderful. Awesome service, waitress was on everything and very polite. Menu had a variety of different types of meals. Burger was great, so was the buffalo Mac and cheese. You have to try the "massive" donut for dessert.

This place sucks.... The food was nothing special and the presentation was lousy. Our waiter was a complete pampas *rick who who had an undertone the entire time. I'm seriously baffled at how he's employed there. He was rude and wanted to do things on his time instead of catering to us the customer. I wish I remembered his name but he was lmid 30's short hair & had scruff. I had sliders which were over cooked and warm not hot. The nachos were not good and he recommended a pulled pork sandwich as the best thing on the menu and that too was dry and not good. The only thing I'll say positive about this place was the decor . It's designed nicely and has a lot of tv's. STAY AWAY from this place.

The beer is great. Lots to choose from. The food was very well prepared. A little pricey but worth it. Had the walleye and Brussels sprouts. Lots of tvs and games to play. A spot to watch the game and hang. Good spot to watch the game. Plenty of room and service was good. I'll be back to enjoy a game.

I'm writing this in hopes that management sees it and makes some changes. I literally live across the street from Craft Breww City and have been anxiously awaiting its opening. I went last night with a large group, and granted, we knew going in that there would be some missteps since the place had only been open one day prior. Boy, were we right. One thing that struck us as odd was some people got their beer in a 10oz glass while others got a full pint. There was nothing on the menu to indicate which beers came in smaller glasses. Beer shouldn't come in a 10oz glass, period. The food was actually pretty good and came out in a timely manner. Portions were small for the price but that seems to be the trend these days. Now, the following issues I think were specific to our server and not the establishment as a whole. Our first order of beers took a good 30 minutes to be served to our entire group. After this long delay, bottles were brought to the table with the cap still on and no glass to go with them. Cans of cider were served the same way- unopened with no glass. We had to go to the bar to request glasses/can openers. Samples of beer were set on the table and the when the server was asked which was which, she threw her hands up and said she "Didn't know beer." ???? You work at Craft Breww City!! Was there no training offered in the months before the venue opened? After our server brought in a more knowledgable bartender to help our group things went more smoothly. All in all, I'd give CBC another chance. Like I stated, I think most of the issues were with our server specifically. I truely hope they train their staff better in the coming months. Priding yourself on craft beer and then hiring staff that proclaims to not know beer is embarrassing.

My first experience here was great. Love the design and ambiance of the restaurant, lots of seating and plenty of tvs for watching sports. I ordered the PB &J bacon burger just out of curiosity because it sounded like a weird combination - it was good but not sure I would order it again. The burgers come with chips had to pay a little extra for fries but the fries were SO good! My friend also got a burger and fries and enjoyed it. Our waitress was very friendly and service was pretty quick during weekday lunch time.

Man, did I want this place to be good. I mean, let's be honest, it's exactly the kind of experience this metro Detroit area needs. Unfortunately, it doesn't live up to those expectations. In fact, it doesn't live up to McDonald's expectations. To keep things brief this is our summary: * Wait staff was nice but completely uneducated on the menu (okay, they're new) * Took forever (fair enough, they're only 4 days old at this point) * Chicken Nachos were pretty awesome (cue false sense of excitement for the rest of our food) * Orders were wrong (okay, people are new, we can deal with that) * CBC Beef Burger cooked horribly, cold, with cold fries. (like bad hotel food horrible). * CBC Turkey Burger (I'm a sucker for a good turkey burger but if there is one thing I hate it is when someone uses that really cheap ground turkey that actually smells like bird and tastes like thanksgiving. That's a big mistake in my opinion. So I just left my burger on the plate. Unfortunate but true.) Oh, and to top it all off, not a single person could tell me why there is an extra W at the end of "BREW". The answer from everybody was "just because." Know your brand, know why, or at least make up a story so it doesn't just appear as though you can't spell. Simply putting "CRAFT" in your name is not the golden ticket to cool. You've got some standards to live up to and so far, you don't.

This place has so much potential. It feels like a place that is very mismanaged. Came in on a Sunday and the place seems pretty slow and not necessarily short staffed. Drinks took so long to come out to the table that we ended up walking up to the bar, waiting 15 minutes and ordering from a bartender who hated the fact she was at work. Food was subpar at best. If you go here do yourself a favor and don't eat. Beer selection is cool but forget service and food.

  • Pat B.

Beer ok, but we were astounded when we asked to sample a beer on tap and were told "we don't do that". Wow first pub that has told us that. Service is average at best, some food good some bad

Downgrading. Wow we were seated- the place was not busy. And then we were just totally ignored. We waited patiently for about 10 minutes, no one. I told my mom we wait 5 more minutes, someone would surely come by. But I was wrong. I tried flagging a wait person down even- I was with my mom and my 6 year old- maybe they thought I wouldn't give a big drink order? Ridiculous either way. We walked out and I will never be back. I got to look at their menu in my 15 minutes sitting their- and it is way over priced for the quality and portion size that I have had and saw all the other customers getting. And the beers are all $1 or $2 too high compared to other craft breweries. I will be surprised if they still exist by this time next year with amazingly terrible service and high prices. I am fairly certain the menu was changed since I was their last already as well which tells you something,

  • Alan K.

Beer list is great, and features an awesome selection of "permanent" and rotating draughts & a wide selection of bottles as well. Why go to separate breweries when you can try them all - lots of Michigan beers, and also plenty of others. Service has improved *immensely* after a kinda shaky start. New chef has things running in top gear - and the burgers are phenomenal. Custom ground mixture including brisket makes for a great taste. I'll be back.

First and last time here. Waitress gave our 14 year old a real beer instead of a root beer. The waitress thought it was funny, we did not. I ordered a Saugatuck Blonde and got some kind of porter. My medium burger was very well done.

We came here specifically today to enjoy their nachos and get some lunch. I've been here several times and they always had appetizers. And we really like their nachos, we get there and they no longer offer appetizers on their lunch menu. Who doesn't offer appetizers at lunch!!!!????? Then when I ask the waitress why they don't have nachos anymore. She says "oh we only have appetizers for dinner, but we can usually still make them. Let me make sure we have everything". You want to check to make sure you have everything for nachos? "Yes". What could be missing that you won't have until dinner? "Well sometimes the chefs don't have everything prepared". At this point me and my buddy are commenting the same thing to her, it's nachos. It's chips, cheese, a meat, lettuce and some vegetables oh and beans. What's not prepared? She leaves to go check. We wait, the waitress comes back "sorry we can't do nachos he said they don't have everything prepped". Again what needs to be prepped????? So whatever, I'm annoyed but the food is good there so we order our lunch. The manager brings us our food and asks if everything was ok. We ask "why do you not make appetizers for lunch anymore? We've always got nachos here and we came here specifically for the nachos." He proceeds to say "we can make nachos". Well your waitress said you couldn't. "Oh well today we had a bit of an issue with a staff member not coming in. So maybe that's why, but we can make nachos you just gotta ask, you want nachos?". We did ask and they told us no. "I can get them made if you want them". We have our food now, I don't want to get the appetizer after our meal. "Well the next time just ask we can always make them". At that point I just stared at him as I felt I was clear that WE DID ask for them and were told no. So to say "you just need to ask for them" like its no problem. Is just not true, so this experience was poor compared to others so I had to be honest with my review. If you like having an appetizer to share at lunch. You either have to ask them for it, or be prepared to be disappointed. Their food is good so I'll probably go back. But today I was highly annoyed. I've never been to a place to eat that doesn't serve appetizers. That's just crazy.

Cool atmosphere and good food but not great service. The waiter messed up my friends meal and my meal and then blamed it on the kitchen staff calling them "illiterate". Another time I went I couldn't get the bartenders attention and when I finally had an older man get her attention for me she was very rude.

Please bring back the grilled cheese on Texas toast!!!! Why would you remove it from the menu after only being open a week??? :( I am a huge fan of One Eyed Betty's in Ferndale and was excited to finally find a place with great beer and grilled cheese that was close to home. Now that it has been removed, we continue to make the trek out to Ferndale.

Worst service I've had in years. Went Friday after work with friends. After being sat right away we waited 20 minutes for the server to show, even though about other employees pasted by us without greeting. Server said he was in back rolling silverware. We had silverware on the table already. Out of many beers. One of our members waited 20 minutes for draft beer before canceling order. Another 15 minutes later he brought the beer???? At that point we had been waiting for the tab. Funny thing, our food was good and delivered faster than our beers. Another 20 minutes to cash out. That beer that was cancelled was still on bill. One member walked to ATM to get cash because he couldn't figure out how to split the bill. Server asked if we had cash to speed things up. He ended up not being able to print receipts and my card was charged twice. Nice.

Went in on Saturday night around 7 pm we were seated right away, waitress came right away, served right away, food came quickly (appetizer and meal) which was pretty good. They must have worked the kinks out since the prior reviews.

  • Marguerite R.

Service is horrible. I was seated 10 minutes before two other parties, they had their orders taken before mine. I sat with an empty beer for 15 minutes. The pizza that I ordered wasn't as good as the frozen kind from the grocery store. As they are new, I will give them a second try in a few months. Hopefully they can work out the service kinks. The remodel is lovely.

First time coming and overall it was a good eating experience. The servers were attentive and my fire-grilled salmon was delicious. Only reason I won't give 5 stars is I think the menu is a little run of the mill. Otherwise I had a great experience.

Like the food, the beer, and the service but it's so damn loud you need to bring earplugs. I hope they do something to address this as its a great location (the old Roosevelts) and the overall menu/theme is good but really...It's so freaking loud. We won't be back for a while.

I was so excited to see this place open and I was so disappointed after I went. My fiance went last night for Valentine's Day. We got there about 8pm and the place was close to empty (I know it was Valentine's Day, but on a Saturday only a few weeks after opening, it should have been busier). That was a strong indication our experience wasn't going to be good. I disagree with the reviews about service. Our waiter, Kurtis, did a great job and each time we had an empty glass or dish, someone came by to clear the table right away. We were extremely disappointed with the food. We got the pretzel/cheese dip for an appetizer and it was bland. My fiance then ordered the grilled cheese/tomato soup and he said he could have made it at home and it would taste the same. I got the "margherita" pizza and added pepperoni. BAD CHOICE. It was not a margherita pizza (which would normally be tomatoes, basil, cheese). It was a pepperoni pizza with sauce that tasted like marinara sauce you use for mozzarella sticks. It tasted like a pizza from 7-11 (as referenced in another post) and I couldn't even eat it. I ate one piece. My fiance tried it and he wouldn't eat it (he will eat anything). A busboy came by and asked if we wanted it boxed up. I said no, and you could tell he felt bad and wasn't sure what to do, but just took it away. Also, a weird little bearded man (manager?) came by the table and he was super awkward. If you are going to manage/own a bar, you need to be friendly and charismatic. He just pointed to our appetizer and said "you like that?". Strange. Also, I checked out their website before we went and the beers listed on the site are different from what was on the menu, so I was disappointed when I couldn't get what I wanted. The menu was also different, so they should make sure they keep this updated. We will not be going back here. I want local businesses to succeed, but I don't think they will if they don't make some changes. I'm surprised that management/ownership is not checking this site to see how people's experiences have been and trying to get feedback for improvement. Such a shame.

Went here for the first time. It's a great central location for my girlfriends and me. We ordered the sausage and pepper pizza and fish tacos. Both were good, but not outstanding. The service was good, and the server was unobtrusive. The only complaint is that it is a little noisy and hard to talk over the din. We will definitely be back, if not for the good than the great martini menu!!! Those who are looking for a true craft beer locale will be disappointed, but those looking for a great beer menu and good gastro pub type food won't be disappointed.

We went to one of the the soft openings. All the food was awesome....the tomato bisque was excellent. The fish and chips were awesome...lots of food on that plate and the burger was great. But the most important part.... The beer list, it's is out of this world....I love that it will be always changing. Huge Kudos to the guy who orders and is in charge of that...great selection!

Came in the other day and had an awesome experience. Was looking for good food and some nice craft beer. Servers name was Jessica, she recommended some of the best beers I've had. Amazing service and very personable. They also have beers not on the menu she recommended. The porter was great! Had the pretzel appetizer and pork tacos, both delicious. Live near the neighborhood, definitely coming back with friends. Very recommended.

I was really excited to check this place out. My husband and I love beer and having something close with so many draft and bottle selections got us really pumped! We were not let down when it came to the beers! Although it took about 15-20 minutes to actually get our beers. It is also a good thing that someone at the table knew something about beer, because the server had no clue what she was taking about. My friend told the server she likes wheat beers and she suggested a porter, hmmmmm? The food was subpar. The pulled pork sandwich was unremarkable. My hubby got the hangover sandwich, the bacon was rubbery and undercooked. The tater tots tasted like they came from the frozen section of the grocery store. Out of the 5 people that joined me, only one enjoyed their dinner and that was the fish and chips. EVERYTHING on the menu is over priced. May give this place one more try, but not likely anytime soon.

Stopped in on a whim and turned out to be divine intervention. Food was great, try the Griswold, Naked wings, excellent. Ate at the bar, Angie and others - service was great. New venue, welcomed all suggestions.

Just got dinner here for the first time and the fish and chips were delicious. Great beer selection with reasonable prices. Anything from a PBR bottle to a $13 draft. One of the managers came over and comped our meal after 15 minutes of waiting because they lost the ticket and said it would be another 5 or 10 minutes. I would have left a good review regardless of that fine gesture.

The concept of this place sounds great in theory. Great service and nice selection of beer. Cool place to kind of chill and relax, it brings in a nice crowd. Cons: The food is AWFUL. And overpriced for how awful it is. I have also been to this place a couple of times on different occasions and they ran out of a significant amount of beer... I find this slightly unacceptable for a brewery.

  • Miles V.

Terrible service at the bar and that's with the restaurant manager sitting at the bar talking to other people while I'm sitting 3 feet away from him. Sat there for 10 to 15 minutes with the bartenders walking back-and-forth in front of me while I'm staring at them. Let alone god for bid when you sit down at the bar they acknowledge you and maybe say hi. Doubt I'll be coming back.

  • Kevin A.

Good news is the beer selection is complete. The group I was with had similar experiences as other reviewers. What I took away is CBC is a subpar restaurant, with a great selection of beer, staffed as if it was a bar which are unable to provide beer recommendations. If you have low expectations for service and food in a trendy atmosphere this is your place.

    (1)
  • K M.

This place is massive. Great bar area and lots of seating. I wish they had a few more shuffleboard tables and small tables to play/drink. Beer selection was very random but had a lot of good choices. The Mac & cheese was decent but we wouldn't get the nachos again. I've had better food at other places that rival but we would still come back again.

I really hate to leave negative reviews about a local business but this is one of the worst restaurants I have been to in a long time. A few friends and I were excited to try Craft Breww City and came for the Michigan State game last Sunday night. We figured it would be packed but it was oddly slow for such a big game... I guess we now know why. Three of us in the group ordered cocktails which may have been our mistake since we were at a brewery but they were horrible! Not horrible like we just didn't like the flavor, something was off - like rancid off. We all had to send back our drinks and the bartender tried them and agreed something was really wrong. She didn't know what was wrong but agreed something was bad. Our food then came out even worse than our drinks - cold, bland, just sub par overall. The worst offender was the pizza. Two friends split a pizza and it was hard and best described like cardboard. They were embarrassed to send it back but it was completely inedible. The chef came out to apologize and said his kitchen staff was "a bunch of idiots" who used old dough. I was severely unimpressed by the way he threw his staff under the bus instead of taking responsibility. I will say our server was wonderful. She was very kind and patient even with all the mistakes happening around her. I would highly suggest she seek employment elsewhere because I can't imagine this restaurant will make it very long.

Beer selection is great!!! but thats about all that makes this place worth going too. The service is mederoke. But on the other hand the food is not good and I paid 9 dollars for a simple lemon drop shot with well vodka. Now I understand this is a new restaurant and it takes some time to work out the kinks, but 9 dollars for a shot is a little ridiculous. Definitely don't recommend coming here for dinner, but if you want to grab a beer it's nice for a quick drink.

She missed up our order. Burger was too rare and cold. I asked recook, then bun is unbaked and cold.

Overpriced, was charged for someone else's pool $9 for 3sliders. Bates is better. I was excited for this place to open. Disappointed at the end. Service was spot on. Place is very nice inside. Pool tables look old and awkwardly placed

We really, really wanted to like this place because it's so close to our house and we are devoted craft brew fans (of the effect that we can sing the Michigan Brewer's Guild song). With a name like Craft Breww City you somewhat expect a place that's devoted to the consumption of beer. Unfortunately, this place is not . while they have a long list of beers, their servers, at least the one we had, had no knowledge of beer (I work in HR - shouldn't this be a prereq to serve at a BEER place?). On top of that, they do not offer flights....which is cardinal sin #1 for those who truly want to come and enjoy the beer. when we asked about flights our server said "yah, alot of people request that but it's too inconvenient for us; we might start them soon." Um...how about today? I was really torn between two belgian ales that I had never tried before. I kept asking which was better thinking maybe the server would go grab me a small sample. Nope. His response was an IPA that I'd like....I don't want an IPA; I want a belgian tonight! Aside from the lackluster focus on beer other than a long list, we also walked in around 6pm and outside were 3 workers and a man dressed in nicer clothes (turned out it was the owner). He was talking to them, outside for those walking in to hear, "we're down 3 servers, 2 cooks, and a hostess so we just have to get by." While I felt bad for their situation it made me wonder why are so many people calling in and why are you outside in public announcing your woes?! The food was just lackluster for the price. My salmon was actually quite good, but the sides it were served with were cold. Everyone else seemed ot have the same reaction to the food - it was okay, nothing great nothing too bad. we came for the beer and were hoping to have awesome food with it, and both fell short. We may give this place one more try if they do decide to introduce flights, but to be honest, we can go to Chammps down the street and while a smaller craft list at least the food is better and cheaper and service better.

This place has great potential, and apparently not many people know about it yet. I was here for lunch the other day and the place was almost empty. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and loved it. Very tasty and a little spicy. The beer selection is fantastic and the wait staff were all very friendly. I highly recommend this place!

I saw this place opened and had to stop in the see what it was all about. The food selection is incredible. I ordered the CBC Mac and it was fantastic. Unlike any mac and cheese I've had before. The beer selection is extensive and the staff is very friendly. I guess they have the "Lord of Beer" to help decide which beers go best with which food items they have. His recommendations were spot on. I will definitely be going back to try out more of the unique menu items. The inside was also very clean and well designed.

My boyfriend and I had an AMAZING experience at craft breww city, not only do they have a great beer selection but the service was phenomenal. Make sure you ask for Greg the server he is very intelligent with his beers and the owner or manager Joe even gave us a free pool game because some fellow guests were hogging the table. We will for sure be back!! :)

So.... The manager of this business messaged me and had apologized for my initial visit.... Thought that was nice and professional. Decided to give this place a second shot.... So round two: Place was not too busy... Was greeted at the front and was sat down right away which was great.... Then it goes downhill from here....I timed this by the way.... Waited 24 minutes for a server... Had multiple people trying to search for the person who was supposed to be our waiter/waitress. The only gentlemen who seemed to care that no one was helping us was the busser ( i believe that was his position ) he came and apologized multiple times, even when I saw him talk to the manager about no one helping us , the manager seemed uninterested and did not even come by and apologize even when I was making eye contact as I was watching the busser explain the situation. Once we finally received a waitress she was very sweet and checked up on us constantly which was the only reason I am giving them two stars this time....... We ordered a few drinks which were fine, and some appetizers. The appetizers came out timely ( too pricey also ) as they were not very busy, we ordered the nachos and boneless wings. The Nachos were cold and the wings were burned and tasted as though they used the same fryer they cook fish in ( anyone in the industry knows that you need a separate fryer for seafood items). So again as I would love to give this place a good review as it is beautiful inside.... They are still lacking in many areas, and there are a ton of other better places to eat for the price.

every time I come here the service is terrible and the food is even worse. they always seem to be short staffed whether it's lunch or dinner. the food is mediocre at best. i've gotten several different things here that I haven't liked. they have 3 different types of mac and cheese and their original isn't even close satisfying. everything is unbelievably overpriced, including the food. I was bummed out to not enjoy somewhere so close to home.

Things were a little rough in the beginning, but what can you expect. They have only been getting better since opening their doors. Beer selection, location and pool, shuffle board and darts make this place.

My husband & I just happened to be in Farmington Hills showing a couple of homes (we live in Dearborn). We didn't know the area but we wanted to get something to eat before the appointment...we stumbled across Craft Breww City and wow!! we loved it...it is so cool when you walk in - very spacious and the tables accommodate big groups. The beer looked good (i'm not a drinker) but I was truly amazed by the great menu... I had the grilled salmon and ordered a side of spinach, my husband had the thin pizza with fresh basil and cheese. I can truly say that was one of the best salmon dishes!! It had the right amount of crispy and I could taste a hint of lime....I have already told people about this place and we will be returning for sure!!

I have been there twice now and this is place is a welcome addition to the area. It's rare to find a place with a good craft beer list AND have great food too! This place has both. The draft beer list is broad enough for everyone to find what they like. And in my two visits everyone I was with loved there food. Despite only being open for two weeks they are quickly working out the kinks and he managers go above and beyond to make the customers feel welcome. If you haven't tried this place you need to!

Let me tell you... We just left this place that was very nice inside. It was me and my fiancé. The service I give 0 stars! 25 mins for wings and a beer. 5 mins to bring the blue cheese. When we received the celery with the wings it was old with brown tips on the end of celery. We then ordered 2 burgers. The meat was dried out and bland. The mayo in the side was yellow in color and old. I told the manager I'm concerned about what goes on in the kitchen and he acted if he didn't care. This place sucks!

I've been waiting for a place like this to open and was nervous it would not live up to my expectations but CBC definitely did! The variety of beer styles was great- it wasn't just ales and IPAs! Being a dark beer drinking I was extremely pleased and that alone would have brought me back but then I also got great service from the bartender Tim. He was very knowledgeable, fun and witty. We had a great time sitting at the bar with him. I will definitely be back!

I've been here 3x already. There are the expected growing pains that people have mentioned but that aside, the food is great and the beer list can't be beat. Love the pretzel bread appetizer and the spinach & artichoke dip. My kids loved them to. My son ordered the Fish & Chips both times he was with us. He said it's the best he's had, besides our fresh catch in Key Largo, and won't order anything else. I had the Chicken and Waffles the last time there and LOVED it. My daughter has had the buffalo mac and cheese and the chicken and waffles and can't decide which is better, she ate every bite of both. My husband got the fish tacos one time and the butter burger the next. The fish tacos get his vote for his favorite dish. The banana cream pie desert and the giant donut w/salted caramel glaze are both AMAZING. My son is looking forward to bringing his vegetarian girlfriend there since there are some really delicious sounding options for her as well! Quick touch on the 10 OZ glasses mentioned in another review. I believe that is pretty standard for high alcohol content beers. I think you can only get 2 servings as well. That's how it is at the breweries I've visited at least. They are usually shaded or marked in some way to let you know. Also different styles of beers are served in different glasses.... It's actually a good thing :)

We were super excited to see CBC open near us. My husband loves to try different craft beers and we don't really have a brew pub in our area. Unfortunately, we will be shocked if this place lasts more than a year or two. We stopped in on a Tuesday night and didn't expect it to be busy, but it was basically dead. We asked for a booth and the hostess said there weren't any open. There were several to the right of the bar and one right In front of us. After asking again and pointing out the empty booth we were seated. The service was awful. The waiters were all standing around chatting with each other and not paying attention at all to the few tables that had customers. The menu is pretty limited, but not unexpected for this type of place. Our waitress dropped off our food and never checked back. We had ordered a bleu cheese burger and it didn't have the cheese on it and we didn't have any condiments. After waiting awhile, my husband got up and hunted down a waitress. He explained what we needed and she brought us bleu cheese dressing. Our waitress eventually came by and took the burger back to the kitchen and had the cheese put on. The food was ok...not great, but decent. We did enjoy the beer. The staff seemed very inexperienced and unprofessional. They weren't friendly or efficient. They seemed irritated that they needed to do their job, and preferred to stand in a huddle with their coworkers, chatting. Very disappointing, we were hoping it would become a regular spot for us. Too many other great restaurants around town to choose from...we won't be going back. Sad because it could be a cool place.

I never got around to writing a review after my first visit, but since then, I've been back here 4 or 5 times. Each visit has been consistent (in terms of quality) with my first visit. They have a pretty extensive craft beer list- you're bound to find something you'll like, or something new to try. They have a nice selection of seasonal drinks available as well. Some servers are a little more knowledgable about their drinks than others, but heck, it's a long list! I haven't interacted with any of the bartenders one-on-one, since my visits have always been with a group and included food. The staff have always been friendly, and have always made sure that we were comfortable, and had everything that we needed. Most of them have been able to provide us with some insight, and provide suggestions on their newer beers and seasonal beers. The food is pretty good- much better than I was expecting. I've had several of their burgers and sandwiches, and I can't say that I've been disappointed once. Their fries and their tots are simply delicious! The only thing that annoys me a little bit about this place is the awkward high top seating (why are all of the tables meant for 6 people? Why aren't there any tables for 2?) and how loud this place gets on a busy night. There are days and times where you can't even hear the person next to you because it's so loud. Overall, this isn't a bad place to catch a game, grab a few brews and get some grub with a few friends. I'll be back.

Wow. This place has really gone down hill. Guy bartender was to busy high fiving other guests to get me a beer. Waited 5 minutes at least. Then runs into the kitchen. Finally received my beer. Asked what took you so long to acknowledge me I ask, he said just doing my job. We are a little short staffed. Ordered the pretzel app. Burnt to a crisp no salt, cheese tasted like straight beer. I get it it's beer cheese but damn it tasted more like beer then my beer! Asked if he could take it off my bill. He's like well I asked if everything was okay with a grumpy tone. I said I hadn't had a bite yet so therefor I couldn't give you an answer. Then after my first bit you didn't come back by me for yet another 20 minutes. To busy holding a child behind the bar. Is that really legal by the way??!! And no payed for said pretzel. Then I ask if my first server was here TJ. Wow he said no, she was fired and proceeded to tell me the reasons why. Is that even legal as well. I wanted to talk to a manager but apparently that person was to busy to talk to a paying customer. I will never ever be going back to your establishment again. Craft breww needs to just throw in the towel and close down. Even if you offered to buy my next tab I would not put one foot in there.

I see very mixed reviews here so obviously very different experiences. I'm a true believer in ordering what the specialty is... Or what they're known for and this is a place for beer and beer food, as anyone would know from the name. Beer lovers rejoice! And order that Texas Toast Grilled Cheese with tomato bisque/dip because that's going to heighten your beer experience. (Ask your server which goes best with grilled cheese and you'll be even happier) That's a four star experience. But I'm giving five because they shined for me outside their comfort zone: I asked the waiter for a "not too sweet cocktail" because I was not in a beer mood anymore and jackpot: The MaryAnne! My new fave. So it's a craft beer place with at least one terrific bartender and when I was not too hungry, he suggested the Brussels sprout side dish. ($5). These were so perfectly fried and tasty and perfect for a pub..... And filling... Couldn't finish them. My two girlfriends split that huge grilled cheese and the waiter even brought a second tomato dip for them.... Cheese oozing out so much it reached across the table from her to me! Don't let the strip mall fool you. It's a legit stop. We sat outside. E inside atmosphere lends itself to weekday trivia or painting class, etc, which they have scheduled.... But it's not an intimate setting unless you're outside.

I really wanted to like this place but the food didn't quite live up to my expectations. The wait to get a table was pretty short, they seated us in the old folks section where it's not as loud as near the bar which was perfect. They have a nice selection of brews but sadly I didn't drink any beer. I ended up going with their grilled fish tacos. The tacos was decent, the fish lacked flavor though. It also came with a small salad, guacamole and beans. The beans didn't quite go together. I'm not sure what I would like with it but the ingredients didn't quite go together. I didn't expect it to be as good as the fish tacos are out west but I hoped it would go together a little better. The service was a little slow, we had to wait quite a while for condiments and refills but they got busy after we got there.

This is a very Crafty place! As in craft beer like the name of the restaurant/bar. I met up here with a couple of people after work. This was my first trip into the restaurant. I elected to try one of the craft brews since it was Happy Hour and any beer at $6.00 was half price. I tried the Black Rainbow. Outstanding! Since it was happy hour I also had a pepperoni pizza. This was also very good as it is a brick oven type thin crust pizza. This pie may give Tomatoes Apizza a run for their money. One of the guys I was with also with gave me a quarter of their burger. This was also really good and tasty. If anything bad, the onion rings he got with his burger were not that hot. Even so I still think they get the five star. My work buddies have a new go to place after work...for an extended meeting. More beer to try!

First off, SO glad this type of restaurant came to the area. I've been a few times now with differing experiences. All while reading the reviews that range from excellent to horrendous for this new establishment. Most of the blunders I've encountered I could chalk up to inexperience. Not because it's a new place, but some of the folks seem to not have much experience waiting tables, hostessing, etc... Discussing the food and drinks alone, best in the area, you must try it. But don't expect 5-star service. The shuffleboard is BRAND NEW and cheap to play. You may find me there next time you go. There's pool as well which I rarely see people on. When I went with my family, we were put in the back room sort of cut off from the crowd; EXACTLY what we like when a 3 yr old won't stay in his seat and a 1 year old is learning not to throw the food :-) Good call Craft Breww City! Some good reviews, some bad, but in the end, you have to visit this place. The prices are on the middle to upper end, but I see that as an insurance policy against the "wasted guy" that hangs out for $2 - 16 oz beers. Enjoy the variety! Hope to see you there. Cheers!

Finally I was able to come by and enjoy a dinner here, I like many have been waiting for this place to open ever since Roosevelt's closed a few years ago. We stopped by on a late Thursday night, around 10:30 PM only 3 days after they opened for business, so our expectations were't very high. We were met at the front door by the hostess that was extremely friendly and promptly showed us to our seat. The place was very lively, great music, TVs galore, a few pool tables, shuffle board and dart boards in the back. It's really nice inside, kind of a very upscale pub with a casual feel. Although they don't brew any of their own beer they have 40 craft beers on tap which I'm told are always changing & 100 or so beers by the bottle. Not a craft beer drinker? Don't worry they have a full bar as well and they did have Miller Lite (which is what I washed my dinner down with) if you don't feel like the fancy stuff. Quick tip: if you are unsure of which beer to order ask for the "lord of Beer" he will point you in the right direction. After sitting down someone came right over to get us a couple glasses of water & we were promptly greeted by our waitress (Christy). After looking over the menu the GF decided on the chicken and waffles & I went for the buffalo Mac and Cheese. Both are drinks and food came out in a reasonable amount of time & I most say both were delicious. Overall on our first experience I'd say 2 thumbs up & I'll be back to eat again and again Atmosphere 5 Stars Food 3.5 Stars Service 4 stars (almost a 5, I did have a empty water glass for a bit and it took a little longer than normal to get cashed out) Friendliness 4 Stars Overall I'll give4 stars for now but this will not be my last visit & I'll update as needed. Swing by and enjoy a cold one, a new Farmington Hills favorite.

Maybe things were just off the day I went. There were 6 of us meeting for dinner on a Wednesday evening - thought we'd check out the draft selections. But, trying to find a draft that they actually had turned into pure comedy. They were out of 50% (that's being generous, it was actually more) of the drafts we tried to order off the menu! I felt really bad for the server - it was pretty embarrassing for her. They advertise all of the amazing drafts on tap, but don't provide an accurate menu of what they actually have that day - not good. On the positive side, the pizza was pretty good, but the likelihood of going back is pretty slim.

So I decided to give CBC another shot. I loved their pulled pork sandwich so much that I came back a week later to eat it again. I thought this time they would knock my socks off. Well...it didn't happen. It makes me sad, I really want to love this place. They could be so good. Management, work with your staff because that is the issue. I sat down at 5:45 pm at the bar. The bartender came over at 5:50 and I ordered a Happy Ending because I had enjoyed it so much last time. The bartender, Jessie, was not friendly in the slightest. In fact, it seemed as though she didn't want to be working at all. No smile, no greeting, she did not explain the happy hour specials at all. My drink was good and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich again. It came out at 6:01. I literally must have placed my order at 5:55. So six minutes it took to get my food. Now, I'm all for fast service but it was sloppy. The bun wasn't grilled so it got soggy as all hell from the pork. The coleslaw had no mayo in it, it was just chopped vegetables. The onion rings were homemade but the batter wasn't equally distributed so some parts were burned. While I was eating, I noticed the two bartenders started fighting with each other at one point. The other bartender (not Jessie) brought me water and asked if everything was good but she obviously looked really stressed out. No one ever came back to allow me to pay for my check so I just used cash and ended up giving far too large of a tip of the poor service I received just so I could get out of there. On top of that, she didn't give me the happy hour discount for the drink so I had to pay full price. I guess it was the final insult to a mediocre meal.

I was a bit hesitant to eat here, but it was one of those "it's late and we're close by" situations when you get stuck in the burbs. Surprise: this place is a legit pub. I know, it's in a strip mall. And the interior borders on BWW. But I stopped being judgmental and began to enjoy my experience quickly. The service was very good. They have lots of great, local beers on tap. And the food... shockingly good! This is a pub grub sorta place, but many of the dishes have a twist with some kind of special topping or sauce. I had the Pretzel Burger - hey, bacon! I'd definitely eat here again, but I don't really make special trips to FH. But if you live close by or get hungry while traveling 696.. cheers!

I wanted to like this place...it just didn't happen. Pros: Decent draft selection with a menu that actually told what kind of beer it is. Thanks for that... sick of pubs that don't tell me that "Uncle Jimmy's Rusted Tricycle" is a brown ale and waitresses who can't recommend something because they don't drink beer. The guacamole wasn't bad. And the pros pretty much stop there. Cons: Everything else. Started with a $9 Dip Duo that consisted of 20 chips, decent guac and watery queso. When the waitress asked how it was, I told her the queso was really bad and she offered to bring me some more guac or salsa. We asked for salsa, and since we only had chip crumbs left I assumed she would bring more chips. She brought the salsa, and in seeing there were no chips, she offered to bring me more for $2. Wrong answer. And the salsa? No better than spicy ketchup. Service was pretty subpar as well. The waitress was friendly enough, but we waited forever for refills. The buffalo mac was okay, but definitely overpriced. I'd say steer clear, lest you want mediocre food for a premium price.

Finally, a good place to watch some sports and eat some food in the FH area! (No, Champps does not count). The space is beautiful and spacious, and the food was very good. There are a TON of TVs and my only sadface was that they put golf on almost all of them and only had the Red Wings game on one. Masters scmasters, I only cared about whether the Wings ended up in third place or got the wildcard spot so I would know what dates I could expect to go to some playoff games! Back on track: Our waiter was helpful and nice, but seemed a little new/scattered. Everyone in our group of 10 liked their food for the most part. The deviled eggs were incredible. The chicken wings were weird because they were fried but not breaded. The nachos are HUGE and have a ton of protein on them for whatever kind you order. At our table we had people order the pork, chicken, and black bean and everyone loved all three. The fish tacos were also a favorite. They messed up the hubs' pizza but gave us the mistake one to take home for free. Unfortunately, we did not like the pizza. The crust was dry and the toppings were blah. Oh well, nachos and tacos for everyone next time! The drink menu is huge, and the prices are decent. I recommend the weird grapefruit beer they have on tap.

Great food + lots of beer selections = great restaurant in my book! CBC is ALMOST to 5 stars. Their menu is pretty typical bar food (buffalo mac and cheese is delicious!) and is pretty consistent. And they have a great selection of rotating tap beers plus a huge selection of bottled beers. My biggest complaint is the service - if they want to be known for their beers...their servers need to know their beers. The few times I have been the servers have been clueless about the beers on tap (style, pour size, alt. beers, etc..) I like when a server can tell me about the beer or suggest a similar beer when one is out. I'll definitely keep going back, just wish they had their servers go to beer school :)

Had the fish and chips and the donut for dessert on the first visit. It was ok. The donut was very dense. Had the pretzel log with cheese dip on as an appetizer and the chicken & waffle on the second visit. The bottom of the pretzel log was burned. The chicken had almost no seasoning to the point of need hot sauce (which I don't like) to give some flavor. The waffle was as dense as a biscuit. I will not be back.

I work down the street from CBC and have been anticipating its opening for a while. They did a great job remodeling the interior and gave it a nice modern look. The beer menu is excellent offering a nice mix of and variety of craft beers. I had a Farmington Brown which was good, but steep at $7/pint. While the beer selection is excellent, the food leaves a bit to be desired. The pulled pork sandwich was OK, but I was expecting a little more for $10. There was far too much coleslaw and the sauce was thin and didn't have a lot of flavor. Our server was excellent and gave us some great beer recommendations and was very attentive. This is a decent place for a burger and a brew, but I think their beer prices are excessive. At 7, 8 or 9 dollars a pint it's not a place that you can have more than a beer or two without breaking the bank. The selection is nice, but there are plenty of bars that have craft brews for much cheaper.

Not sure what all of the negative reviews are all about but we really enjoyed our experience today. We had excellent service excellent drinks the pretzel roll is amazing the beer and onion soup was awesome and our two entrées were great too. The only thing I would say is request for the burgers not to be well done other than that everything was fantastic and we definitely will be back!

I have been meaning to review this place because I was so pleasantly surprised with it. To bad it takes a bad experience to get me in gear. First let me say my first 3 experiences here were great! We decided this would be our new sports bar hang out. The food was great. Their sliders taste like Greene's but with more meat. The chicken wings were great. My husband is not a beer drinking so we were happy to see they had s full bar but for beer drinkers there seems to be unlimited options. We eat at the bar. Bridget was our server/bartender and she was great and attentive. So 2 nights ago on our last visit the experience was not as enjoyable. The bartender, a guy, didn't get his name didn't seem so interested in serving us. He got our orders wrong and I sent mine back and he said you ordered this. I didn't he was preoccupied with other things and not paying attention. My husband order a burger medium to medium rare with onion rings. His burger came well done and they brought out fries. We had them bring the onion rings we ordered but didn't send back the overdone burger. I hope the owners are reading this because they have to work with their staff. Totally not paying attention to the customer. So I'm giving it 4 stars because 3 out of 4 times it was good. If I go back and have service like last time I will have to downgrade my rating. I hope it was just a fluke but not as many people there as I have seen in the past. It has potential. Get good help!

food seems inconsistent ...cider wings are my fave and I usually ask for it to come with ranch and they still always manage to give me blue cheese instead ...I always have to correct them and I've probably ordered wings at least 12 times here ...another time my wings were all drummys on one order and all flats on another ...they have potential to get better

3.5 Stars. I wanted to give this place some time to settle into itself before trying it. I am glad that I finally made it. They have a nice selection of quality craft beers from across the country. The menu itself was pretty standard, burgers, salads, etc. However, I found the Hangover Sandwich, and it made my trip worthwhile. It consists of a fried egg, beer/maple glazed bacon, cheddar, tomato, chipotle aioli, sriracha, brioche bun, and tater tots. (See below). Probably not something that you should eat too often, but was good enough to make me want to comeback. I only wish they had the stones to keep the yolk runny. Hopefully their menu will continue to evolve, but so long as they have this sandwich, I am sure to come back. .

As a heads up, they don't brew their own beer. Service was terrible. Our waiter acted like it was a hassle to deal with us. Black bean soup tasted like they poured a can of black beans into bowl. We will not be back.

We tried this bar out Saturday night around 9 pm. It took us about 15 minutes to flag down a waiter, and we ordered a few samples to see if we could find something new that we liked. 20 minutes later we flagged down a manager, wondering if our samples were ever coming. They brought them over on the house because of the wait, and the manager also was able to recommend a few new things we wouldn't have thought to try. They definitely cared about our experience, and we felt they redeemed the situation. Ordered the huge donut they have on the menu, it was a little dry, it needed some caramel sauce or something. Pros: great interior, lots of tables open, food looked great, lots of drafts and bottles to choose from. Biggest con: parking lot. Ugh. We'll be back though. Reasonable prices for a good atmosphere, and a customer service oriented management team.

I checked this place out the first weekend they were open & when I got there they weren't very busy but by the time I left they were packed! I loved the new look & setup, it definitely has more of a bar vibe than a restaurant vibe so I was a little surprised to see some kids in there. They have pool tables, dart boards, a lot of high tops, some 1/2 booth high top setups & then seating at the bar which seems smaller than the bar was at Roosevelt's but I could be wrong since I was only there a couple of times. I originally thought this was a brewery but it's not & I'm not complaining about that...they have a TON of craft brews on tap, more in bottles plus a full bar & some signature drinks for those who prefer cocktails (and some generic beers as well). We sat at the bar & the bartender was great, very friendly & informative when we asked about a few different beers & suggestions for food. They have 3 sizes of glasses so I got the juice glass of 2 different kinds...I was disappointed that they don't offer flights though as that's what I was planning to get so I could try a few different kinds. I expect to pay about $5/6 for a pint of craft beer & when I looked at the menu everything was pretty much between $4 & $6 but I'm pretty sure the prices on the menu are for 9 oz beers (the juice size)...I could be wrong as I didn't pay so I didn't see the bill. One thing we didn't like about the beverages is at the end of the bar there were 3 old style glass milk bottles full of what appeared to be iced tea but they didn't have lids on them & I normally drink iced tea but if it's just sitting out there at the end of the bar all day uncovered for people to reach over, sneeze into, etc. I wouldn't want to drink it so I had water instead. Now the tables received the same type of jugs with cold water but we didn't...not sure if it's because we were at the bar or because we were just 2 people. Now on to the food! We ordered quite a few things off the menu to share (they have a great variety)...we started with the deviled eggs with bacon (yummy) and the chicken chili. I didn't try the chili but my friend did & he said it was good but barely warm (he ate it anyway) & when I touched the bowl it was cold so he informed the bartender to let the kitchen know to heat it up for future diners. As our entrée we ordered the mac & cheese with pork carnitas & the chicken and waffles...both of these were really tasty BUT we waited a good 45 minutes or more for them. We were sitting at the bar watching the food window which was full of food but servers would come up & look at it & put it back...some of that food sat there a good 30 minutes or more! We finally asked what the hold-up was & the bartender apologized repeatedly & said he'd find out what was going on. A few minutes later he came back with some free nachos that were good & said our food would be right up & thankfully it came out 10 minutes later & was fresh...it wasn't what had been sitting in the window forever (which we were afraid of). Because of the inconvenience we got 1/2 off our food & a couple free beers which we greatly appreciated. Now for the best part...the Big Ass Donut with the salted caramel glaze...if you don't have room, order it to go because it tastes like an elephant ear & it's really dense so you & 3 of your friends could enjoy it for breakfast the next day! Oh, they also have valet which I find completely pointless...the bar is in a strip mall & there is all kinds of parking available. At any rate I'm going back today & they have now been open almost 2 weeks so I'm hoping the food doesn't take forever this time & they have their system down better.

For starters the service was great! Given the place wasn't jam packed, I really enjoyed our waiter and he was incredibly knowledgable and friendly. Now the food.. I came during taco Tuesday with some girlfriends for margaritas and tacos. The interior of the space is dimly lit with a large centrally located bar, TV's suspended from the ceiling facing every which way, and two pool tables. As fun as the interior was, we opted to sit outside (because it's Michigan and if it's not snowing or raining I HAVE TO be outside) We ordered a few beers, one if my friends had a margarita, and by default ordered tacos because otherwise it would just be another Tuesday. We started with the pretzel bread with cheddar ale sauce and chips and guacamole. The pretzel bread while somewhat shiny on the outside (probably brushed with butter or oil) had a good consistency but lacked the density of a really good hearty pretzel. The cheddar ale sauce had either been sitting around too long or wasn't prepared correctly. It had a grainy consistency and didn't taste far off from a cheap block of velveeta mixed in with Kroger pepper jack and a touch of powdered Mac n Cheese packet. That said, I turned to the chips and guacamole platter only to be disappointed by it's lack of flavor and it's somewhat browning color. They obviously made this earlier in the day and passed it off as fresh. They of course added another container of the grainy cheese sauce just in case we couldn't get enough of it. I optimistically ordered the fish tacos, one fried and the other grilled. While the food came out quite quickly and everything was nice and hot, I can't say my main entree didn't continue on the mediocre streak. Fish was good, just chewy?? The fried one was good and the batter had a slight curry flavor that I did like but once agin my fish was chewy. Beans were good (but it's hard to screw that up) coleslaw was a but overdressed and over powered the flavor of everything else, and to top It off the salsa tasted like it came out of a jar. It actually tasted like Pace salsa. Overall I would never recommend this place for food unless you're 5 beers in and you just need sustenance. On the upside, the beer selection is really good, lots of beer on tap, and the waiter had great recommendations. Too bad my review is just on food, otherwise they would be getting 5 stars for beer!

Went back to CBC on Friday, 8/21 (the food always brings us back and we've been here a half-dozen times or so), and YET AGAIN were extremely disappointed with the knowledge of the waitstaff and the lack of care given regarding the beer. By now, we thought it would have gotten better. This will likely be our last visit (and we certainly can't recommend it to our beer-loving friends anymore -- it's embarrassing). I ordered four 4-oz. beer samples and my server wrote them down in the order I listed them off -- when he brought them to our table, they were just set down in a random order (he clearly grabbed them hastily from the bar and didn't care to keep them in order or at least provide a piece of paper or receipt indicating which beer was which). INSTEAD, I had to sip and sample and GUESS at which beer these COULD have been (which semi-worked out only because I ordered two beers with unique tasting notes like mango and cherry). It's ridiculous. "Craft Breww" city this place is NOT -- the waitstaff NEED to learn and appreciate the beer as much as the patrons. Wake up, guys! My husband was interested in ordering the Rochester Mills Oktoberfest and asked our server for some tasting notes (ie: how is the beer this year?) (yes, folks, beer can alter in taste and appearance based on that year's ingredients). Our server replied annoyingly: "I don't know. I haven't tried it." The servers need to understand/try/care about the beer that is on tap (this is a huge management FAIL) -- I used to work in a brewpub and even with consistently rotating taps, it was expected to understand the tasting notes so that you could, bare minimum, explain to your guests when asked what a beer compares to. This place is masquerading as a craft beer haven -- and while the tap list can be impressive, the waitstaff/bartenders/managers involved in distributing the beer to patrons are not. I've said this once and I'll say it again for the last time: PLEASE EDUCATE YOUR STAFF! Don't know the beers on tap? No weekend shift for you. Don't care about providing samples in the order in which they were given? Please work elsewhere. Farmington Hills (and the state of Michigan, for goodness sake) KNOWS THEIR BEER. If you don't, you will fail, and you will consistently see fewer customers. (I should mention this place was near-dead at 8pm on a FRIDAY NIGHT.) I want to love this place so bad (it's literally right down the road from our house!) but it seems like the management track this place is on doesn't care enough to do things right. It's a shame, guys.

Nice sports bar atmosphere, clean, and newer TVs. However, service was very slow...on a Tuesday night no less. Beer selections are great! Food menu is very limited, even for a bar. Both our sandwiches were way over cooked and one order came out wrong. The wait for drinks, ordering, food, and even the check was entirely too long!

We went on a Saturday at 6 PM with another family from the neighborhood. We should have realized it wasn't for us when we had to scream at the hostess for a table. It was ridiculously loud at 6 PM! Service was slow. We thought they were brewing the beer it took so long to get out drinks. But the food was pretty good. I had the pulled pork and it was excellent and so were the fries. everyone in our party enjoyed their food. Unfortunately, we were all hoarse by the time we left from screaming at each other. I get that they are looking for that younger crowd to party all night but it was 6 PM! Come on! We wont go back. And since then, we've had other friends/neighbors try it and they said the same thing about how loud it was.

This place is cool. Plenty of beers on tap and good variety. Our server was very attentive and never missed a beat so props for that! Service is great and everyone seemed to be having a good time around us. Our server was not knowledgeable on the beer selection and not a huge issue. But being a craft fan and constant beer drinker its always discouraging when I cant give you the compliment of "you pick my next beer". I had the chicken sandwich and it was good but nothing I am going to write about. My coworker had the hangover sandwich and loved it. Its big on the inside and although it was not crowded when I went, it seems like it could take on any crowd. Plenty of TV's and great atmosphere. Definitely give this place a try if your in the area. I just work in Detroit and it is definitely a nice alternative to going downtown or driving a long way out. I will be back next time I am here.

Much improved over Roosevelt's! The staff is friendly from the minute you walk in the door. The space is clean and open with a nice bar, plenty of high and low-top seating, a couch area for groups and a game area. I noticed a couple nice pool tables in the main dining room in addition to a newer looking shuffleboard table too. I'm keeping those in mind for the next gathering spot option. Bridget was our bartender. She was really friendly and quick attending to any requests for silverware or condiments. I ordered a beer and food off their menus, which were also pretty nicely laid out and offer a nice cross section of all things beer and grub. A lot on their menu looked fantastic....the Peanut Butter Sriracha Burger, Blue Ribbon Dog, etc., etc. I opted for a bowl of the Tomato Bisque and the Cuban Sandwich. The soup was fantastic....thick and full of great flavor with a fried basil leave to garnish and Cheez-Its to add in. I'm ordering this again for sure!!! It was some of the best I've had at a bar. The Cuban was stacked with ham and pulled pork and covered in melted cheese with a nice pickle spear on the side and I ordered tots with it. The tots may have been a little underdone and could use a little something to make them special but all in all this place was the WHIP. I'm definitely coming back and you should definitely check it out!

Fun atmosphere and not overpriced. People of all ages with pool tables too. Free samples and a great burger!

Bummers.. Another menu item to avoid chewy -tough, bland chicken tenders. Not worth 16$... Tacos are flavorful and fresh. After more than a couple of visits, I'm going to stick with a beer and maybe a taco.

The wife and I have visited twice, and each stop has been a mixed bag. First, I will mention that I like the decor and layout of the place. Plenty of TVs for sports viewing. The servers have all been pleasant and friendly, and the vibe is positive, in my opinion. The food we've tried has been okay (chicken nachos-too plain) and good (pretzel roll-great taste but expensive). Two odd things, though. On March 15 we visited and when I ordered a Guinness off the menu, I was informed that it had been pulled from the rotation. Huh? Parade Day (with parade patrons there) and two days before St Pat's, and you pull Guinness? Hope that isn't an example of everyday managerial decisions. Second trip (oddity), my wife was having trouble making up her mind which beer to choose. She asked the server for a couple of samples to taste. The server informed her that the waitstaff is discouraged from providing samples. Huh, again? I was dumbfounded. A craft brew pub and you don't want to serve samples? Most similar places I've been, you don't even have to ask, a good bartender/server will pour one without asking.

Food: The food is surprisingly good. The beer selection is great. Rating: 4 stars Service: The service is good, though we expected it to be better. There was not very much insight provided about the beers. Rating: 3 stars Atmosphere: This is a great place to watch sports. Rating: 4 stars Location: The generic suburban strip mall location provides convenient parking, though the parking lot can get crowded. Rating: 3 stars

Came here last night with a group of friends to watch the MSU game. we made a reservation, but honestly I don't think we would've needed one. The place is huge and a lot of space to walk around which I liked. Our service was great! Water was filled constantly and our server was very attentive. Huge beer selection at reasonable prices. The food was okay. I got a grilled chicken club sandwich on a pretzel bun with fries for $9. Reasonable price, but the food didn't really deliver for me. Would I be back? Maybe, it's a great place to watch sports with a group of friends but would definitely try some other food on the menu

I hadn't gone back for a few months since a couple of initial bad experiences. Stopped in for lunch . The food was good and so was the service.

Fantastic beer menu. Utter garbage service. I came here to drink awesome beer. I've been reading about this place in the paper and online for while, and was really excited to check it out. Yesterday it took the goombah with a soul patch tending bar 20+ minutes to take my initial order. Then he spent forever bragging to his buddies about how we were suckers for drinking overpriced beer at the bar and how he enjoyed PBR for $15 a 30-pack. Uh, ok dude. You work at a pub, fucking act like it, or you won't be able to afford more shitty Zodiac tattoos. I came again back tonight to explore the beer menu more. My first experience was crap. Again, it took close to 20 minutes to get the bartender to take my order. She couldn't answer any questions about a single beer I was interested in, because she "doesn't like beer". WTF lady why are you bartending a pub? While I'm sitting here waiting patiently for a refill from the bartender that doesn't like beer, she's yapping away with some friends and sharing cell phones talking about this place's Yelp reviews. There's like 6 people tops at the bar, and we can't get service. She's literally ignoring me to hang out with friends and bitch about this place's bad reviews, as if they are unjustified, while ignoring me at the bar. The irony is thick here. I can see a little goateed man in a collared shirt that might be a manager wandering around ignoring customers. There's like 40 goddamn employees frantically milling about trying to figure out what to do while customers are pretty much ignored. I paid my bill, tired of waiting for service, and left while seven employees gossiped at the front desk, oblivious to my departure. This place is supposed to be a pub, but the service is so bad, that until they get real bartenders it's a joke. I'd be embarrassed to take family or friends here.

Me and a couple of friends went here on Saturday night. We were really excited because it was close to our house and we love ourselves some Craft Brew beer. We knew that since they have only been open for several days we expected some issues. However, it was much worse than we could have thought. We got to the restaurant around 6pm and were seated right away. The waiter didn't come to our table for a good portion of time. We kept looking around to try and grab a server cause we had no idea were our was. We found out he was new so no big deal. We ordered some beer and nachos. They were both really good. Our waiter seemed to be lacking knowledge on the menu but again we can over look that. After we ordered our main course it took an extremely long time for our food to come. One time they even tried to bring us some other peoples food. Our waiter seemed to not be to observant about our water and current situation. He rarely visited out table. So our food came out and our friends got their food, my wife got the wrong food, and my food hadn't come out yet. In fact I waited about 15 more min, until i got my food. Our friends waited to for our food but then theirs was cold. NOT COOL! They left the wrong food on our table for my wife wile we waited for the right dish. It took another 30 min. before our waited said that it looks like we are not going to get the right food at all. My wife ate the other dish cause she was hungry. About 2 min. later he brought it out...... WHAT! Now she was full. He didn't charge us for just my wife's meal. I was very poor quality food as well. I ordered the Griswold and it tasted like a sausage that I can get from Wal-Mart in a pretzel bun. The beer was the only good part and they didn't even make it. I would not recommend it for a long time. I hope they can make some big changes. It will be a long time before we go back if we even decide too. 2 hour dinner with not very good food and still paying for it is not worth my time or money. Sorry CBC.
